We have partnered with Sonic Drive-In. All opinions are my own. I am excited to bring more awareness to SONIC’s Limeades for Learning campaign. Both of my parents were teachers for 30+ years. My grandparents, and great-grandparents and many of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends are educators. My brother is now a principal who taught 6th grade for many years. I know all of the sacrifices, love and hard work that educators put in, and because I know and have seen it first hand, I support it every chance I get.

I personally volunteer at my kids’ elementary school for several hours a week. I know this isn’t enough, so when I get a chance to support public schools with programs like SONIC’s Limeades for Learning campaign, I take it and share it with everyone I can. My daughter’s teacher is raising money for whiteboards in their classroom and I am very excited to be donating my $200 towards that!

Teachers play a critical role in shaping the future of local communities all across the country. Yet every year, teachers spend about $500 of their own money on basic school supplies to help improve classroom experiences for their students. I know that my kids love the projects they do at school and because of those they are thriving and learning so much more. Recognizing public school teachers needed more support, SONIC Drive-In partnered with DonorsChoose.org ten years ago to come up with a solution. In 2009 SONIC launched Limeades for Learning.

Limeades for Learning® is a national award-winning initiative to support U.S. public school teachers in local communities. Since the launch of SONIC’s Limeades for Learning philanthropic campaign in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, SONIC has donated $9.5 million to public school teachers nationwide to fund essential learning materials and innovative teaching resources to inspire creativity and learning in today’s youth. With the help and support of our fans, by 2021 SONIC’s total contribution to local public school classrooms will exceed $20 million.

I am excited to giveaway a $50 Sonic gift card and a $200 DonorsChoose gift card to one lucky reader. That way you can support the program through DonorsChoose as well as through Sonic Drive-In!  To enter the giveaway, wait for the Rafflecoptor to load below. Giveaway is open from 3/12/18-3/20/18. Open to US only. Must be 18 or older to enter.
