2017 Mazda6 I Grand Touring Review

I received this car to test drive. All opinions are my own. Mazda is by far one of my favorite brands of vehicles. They have an amazing line up from sporty to SUV that will accommodate whatever style you are looking for. We recently test drove the 2017 Mazda6 for a week and I enjoyed every minute of it. The car is so smooth to drive and comfortable to be in – you almost don’t want to get out when you get where you are going.

Here are some of our favorite features:

  • 2.5-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine
  • Heated steering wheel
  • MAZDA CONNECTTM infotainment system
  • Full-color heads up Active Driving Display
  • Bluetooth® hands-free phone and audio
  • BOSE® 11-speaker sound system with Centerpoint® and AudioPilot® 2
  • Smart Brake Support (SBS) with Collision Warning
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers

It would be hard to tell you everything I love about the car because in reality there really was nothing that I didn’t absolutely love. The keyless entry with the push button start, the heated seats and steering wheel, driver seat memory for two different people, the setup and control of the music, GPS, etc. My favorite feature of this and all other Mazda’s is the Active Driving Display. It is so nice to have all of my important driving info like my speed, the speed limit, navigation directions, cruise control and more in one convenient spot where I can see it easily while driving.

The Mazda6 comfortably seats 5 and the truck is massive. I was able to put my daughter’s cello in the trunk with it coming through just a little with the back seat pushed forward. Both of the back seats fold down to provide more room from the trunk to the inside of the car. There are little levers in the trunk that you pull to release the seats. It is also nice that the rear seats are heated – which made it very nice for my kids are those chilly morning drives to school.

This is one car that you need to get out and test drive so you can see for yourself how amazing it is. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings – because this will be hard to top!

The 2017 Mazda6 is a vehicle that further proves that a midsize family sedan is capable of going above and beyond in delivering a fun driving experience that still maintains practicality and efficiency. For 2017, the sedan gains further premium refinements that are sure to keep it as one of the best-handling, most-engaging vehicles in its segment.
