2016 Hyundai Tucson Sport AWD Review

A couple of weeks ago I was able to test drive the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson Sport AWD. I haven’t driven one of these before and I was really surprised by the car. The AWD makes it nice to go on and off road, for weather and adventuring. It seats 5 comfortably and still has a decent size trunk space. I love the shape of the car as it optimizes the interior space and looks sleek and modern on the outside. It gets good gas mileage (between 26-33) so it is good for city and highway driving.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson Sport AWD car that we drove has 175 Horsepower and an Inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. It is comes with a 7-speed EcoShift® Dual Clutch Transmission which makes it fun to drive and really can give you the power you want when you want it. I love the 19-inch Sport alloy wheels with 245/45HR19 tires.They really add a lot to the car. When you are driving you will feel safer with the Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change assist, and a Rearview camera.

Other things to note is the great remote/keyless entry system. Just keep the key in your pocket or bag and you can push the button on the door handle to lock and unlock the car. Same thing with the tailgate – just stand by it for about 5 seconds and it opens automatically. The hands free smart liftgate makes it so much easier to load the car when your hands are full you need into the back of your car. When you lock your car, the mirrors fold in and they are also heated so they are clear when you are driving in inclement weather.

Overall we really love the features and functionality of the car. It has a lot to offer and drives nicely. I loved how comfortable the seats were, and felt like the layout of the interior was comfortable as well. With the heated seats, steering wheel mounted controls and adjustable seat controls I was able to enjoy a nice ride in comfort. The 5″ touchscreen made it easy to navigate the controls of the radio, etc and the aux input and the bluetooth both made it easy to connect my phone any time I wanted to listen to music or other things.
