Easter basket ideas for tweens + $100 Kmart Gift Card Giveaway

This is my first Easter having a tween, and I have to admit it is a little harder to shop for my tween than it is for my 5-year-old. Since I have been doing some research and found some great ideas on what to put in a tweens Easter basket, I wanted to share with you to hopefully save you time and give you ideas as well. The first thing you need to figure out is what your tween likes. Are they into sports, music, art, dance, etc? This will help you decide which direction you can go with your basket. Next, you need to know what colors they like.

Once you have a theme and color picked out, you will want to start doing some looking at to what you can put in the basket (or even use something like a baseball cap for a sports “basket” and put everything in the cap to give to them. If they like sports, you can use a mini cooler bag filled with stuff. There are so many fun ideas like this. Think outside the box! A great place to look for everything you need for Easter, as well as everyday items, is Kmart. They have competitive low prices on grocery items and candy. I have been able to find everything we need to stock our Easter Baskets for not just my tween, but also my little kids. I can’t wait to see their faces! They have great prices on their candy like an for $2.50 on Sale (through 4/8) or  for $1.50 on sale (4/9-4/15).

While I was picking up stuff for their Easter baskets I was also able to stock up on things I needed for our house like paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners and so much more! I love the Smart Sense brand (Kmart’s house brand) because it is affordable and quality. Did you know you can get points back for purchasing Smart Sense items? Through 5/1 you can earn 25% in Points with $10+ of Smart Sense Food & Drug Products at Kmart. That means you can use those points to help “pay” for your Easter basket stuffers…or something else you have had your eye on. Also be sure to watch for the Bluelight specials! You can find online and get notified when the next one happens with the Kmart app, too!
