Dave Ramsey is well known for his ability to help thousands of people get out of debt and become financially independent. My husband and I are two huge fans, who have followed his steps and worked out hardest to try and stay on a tight budget and live within our means. While this has been a great system for us, it is a little harder relating it to our children, and so when we found out about Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Junior, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to try it out with my children!
We were sent a variety of items that I have fell in love with! The Best Christmas Ever, Financial Peace Junior, Junior’s Adventures Book Series, and the Junior’s Adventure 6-disc audio set.
I especially love the Financial Peace Junior. It has been a great way to teach my kids how to work for their money and how to take care of it once they have it. These are irreplaceable lessons that will stay with them for the rest of their lives and hopefully give them a good foundation on how to manage their money. This kit comes with: A Parent Guide to Get You Started, A Kids Activity Book for Fun & Lessons, Give, Save & Spend Envelopes, All new Calculator, Four Crayons, Stickers, Cling Stickers, Battle of the Chores Audio Book, Link to an Exclusive Website with Bonus Materials, Magnet Frame. This is one item I highly recommend for Christmas for your kids this year! Not only will it be fun for them, but it is very educational and it will get used all of the time!
Junior’s Adventures is a great series about teaching children some of the great values that are lacking in today’s society (in my opinion anyways). With this series they will learn about integrity, saving money, giving, debt, spending and work. These are the values that we need to instill in our kids when they are young so when they grow up they understand what they all mean and why they are important. You can’t wait until they are older to try and teach them these things because they most likely will not learn them as they would have when they were young. My kids loves these books and also we love listening to the stories, especially when we are traveling!
The Best Christmas Ever is a great story about a boy and his sister and their visit to the mall to pick out presents and hopefully win some cool prizes. In this book kids will learn about the importance of thinking about others and the joy of giving instead of receiving. All of my kids (ages 1-8) loved this story as we listened to the story and followed along in the book. This is a great story to have that your kids will love to read again and again as they learn about the true meaning of Christmas!
