I have decided that I want to get to know the beautiful state that I grew up in and have lived in all my life better, so we have planned a massive list of Trails, Lakes, Waterfalls and Hikes in Utah to visit this year. I am so excited to not only spend quality time with my family in the great outdoors, but also to get to know the area, take pictures and get in shape! This is a big list and I haven’t been to very many of these places, I am ashamed to say, so if you have, I would love your input and tips on what to expect, etc. Also, if I have missed any that would be easy-moderate and kid and dog friendly, please leave a comment letting me know so I can add it to the list!

I love this list, and need to get back into hiking. My mother has limited mobility and has to be in a wheelchair for longer walks. If you think about it please when blogging/posting note the level of each hike. (is any part of it handicap accessible.
And it would be nice to know if the hike are something a heavy set just getting back into hiking person can do and take her 3 year old granddaughter or maybe something she should wait until she is in a little better shape to try. So maybe posting something about the level of hiker needed for the trail (and be real- I did a trail over the summer that was 2 miles “by the crow” and was really 5.5 miles of tuff hiking).

      Hi Rachael,
Thank you for your thoughts. I definitely plan on posting about each hike we go on, and I will make sure to mention the level of the hike and any obstacles. I, myself, am overweight and out of shape so this is something I am looking forward to helping me be more active. Something that is easy for my husband isn’t always easy for me and I will share my experience as well as his in our posts. Thanks 🙂

This is a great list. Thank you. We are always looking for more trails. The only thing I would change, though, is that Battlecreek Falls is in Pleasant Grove, not Provo.
