No story here. I don’t feel the need to be like someone else.
We live beside an older couple and we always thought we had green thumbs but these people have a yard worthy of magazine covers. Beautiful trees and bushes and flowers, it puts our yard to shame. Every year we swear we will become competition but every year we fail miserably. They are amazing!
I have enough issus in my life to deal with. The last thing I’m going to do is try to keep up appearances to keep up with others.

I have a neighbor that makes it a constant one-up with all the other neighbors even though no one else is participating. If someone gets a new snow-blower he’ll get a better one and talk everyone’s ear off about it.
