My husband loves steak and I love pineapple so we decided to combine the two for dinner tonight and make Steak & Pineapple Kabobs. They are pretty easy to make and taste oh so yummy. If you are looking for a fun and creative dinner that only takes about 20 minutes to put together – that is it! All you need is steak, a pepper, onion, and a can of chunk pineapple. I like to use Lemon Pepper seasoning on the steak as I cook it – but you could also marinade it if you have time. We put them all together and grilled them on our new George Foreman 5 Serving Removable Plate Grill. I love that I can just pull the plates off and put them in the dishwasher when I am done.
This recipe is so easy to make and it is SO yummy! I had barley set them on the table before my kids had eating half of them it seamed like. You will need just a few ingredients for this recipe.
We used our new George Foreman Grill to cook the steak first.
I put a light layer of oil on each piece and then sprinkled it with Lemon Pepper. I grilled it lightly just to get a about medium-rare and then pulled it off and let it sit for a little bit. I then cut it into chunks to make the Steak and Pineapple Kabobs.
I did a layer of pineapple, sweet onion, green pepper, steak, and two pineapples, then repeated the onion, pepper and steak. I put them on the George Foreman Grill for a few more minutes to heat up the veggies and finish cooking the meat. It tasted so yummy. I think next time I will cook the peppers and onions a little before hand in some butter to soften them.
The Steak and Pineapple Kabobs turned out great! The grill was also very easy to clean. I just unhooked the plates and put them in the dishwasher. They came out clean and perfect, I clicked them back on the grill and it was ready to go. It has a large surface area that allows me to cook big meals quickly for my large family. The George Tough™ Triple non-stick coating prevents the need for oil and butter. It really did a great job and cleaned up easily. The angle of the grill lets the fat drip down into the pan and removes it from your meat. One thing I love is that it has a floating hinge that allows you to adjust the height of the grill. It is perfect to keep these Kabobs from rolling off the grill.
