Having a nice yard is something that I have been working on for years. When we moved into our house – the yard was a “hot mess” and it has taken a lot of time to get it to a place where I can say WOW – it looks amazing. Part of that is because we wanted to do all of the work ourselves and another part is that we had to do it in sections. This spring is the first one since we moved in, where our yard looks really good. I bought new yard lights to go around our yard, but something was missing – I really wanted a lamppost to complete the look. I looked for a long time because I didn’t want to have another wired one (there was one in our yard when we moved in, and it shorted because of water issues, it was a big mess). I wanted a lamppost still but my husband and I didn’t want to deal with the mess of digging up the old electrical or laying new electrical to resolve the issue. That’s when I heard about the company Gama Sonic.
Gama Sonic makes solar yard lights. I searched online a lot before I found what I wanted – and it was definitely Gama Sonic that ended up being the perfect addition to my yard and gave it that finished look that we have been working towards over the last few years. Their products are not just your plain Jane cheep/easily broken blue light special. From the first time that I saw and held the lamppost light fixture that they sent me I was awestruck with the quality. When I looked at my local stores, all I found were cheep plastic lights, that just wouldn’t have looked as good or been as nice. I am extremely happy with the heavy duty metal cased housing with the astonishing finish and texture that looks amazing – and still puts out a lot of light.
Notice how elegant and detailed the craftsmanship of the metal leaves displayed. It looks as if every leaf was perfectly chiseled away by hand. I’m impressed with how heavy the fixture is. It feels as if it could just sit on the pole without being secured and tightened down, and it wouldn’t even budge with wind or anything. I love the bronze antique looking color that I chose. To me it radiates the subtle prestige of charm that my yard so desperately was missing.
Overall I am very happy with my Gama Sonic Flora Solar Lamp. The lamp is made from powder coated rust-free aluminum and finished in antique bronze. I love the patented cone reflector inside that really spreads the light and reflects it. Inside there are 6 super bright LED lights that are powered by solar charged Li-ion batteries. Because it is solar powered (soaks up the sun through the panels on top) it has a sensor that turns it on at dusk, and off when the sun comes back up.
We are very happy with our Gama Sonic Solar light and will continue to add them to our yard to create that perfect space. You can view the full line of Gama Sonic Solar Lights here.
